"We earnestly invite all Workers belonging to our trade to come forward, join our ranks and help increase our numbers, until there shall be no one working at our trade outside of our Brotherhood."

— 1891 Preamble to the IBEW Constitution

By choosing to join Local 44, IBEW, you have given yourself the opportunity to improve the quality of your life. With your support and participation, and that of other IBEW members, this union will continue to win the best wage and benefit packages possible and continue to protect your rights on the job.

Local 44's nearly one thousand members in Montana are united with more than 800,000 IBEW members throughout the U.S. and Canada. The strength gained by these numbers is evident in every IBEW contract, assuring fair treatment, safe working conditions, and a harassment free workplace.

The nations of the world join the United Nations. Employers join the Chamber of Commerce. Managers of business form their own associations to advance their common interests. Working people form unions for the same reasons, recognizing that a united voice seeking common goals cannot be easily dismissed.

The IBEW is the largest, strongest, and oldest union devoted to electrical workers. It is also one of the richest in diversity, spanning the realms of manufacturing, radio and TV broadcasting, construction, maintenance, electric, gas, water, and transit utilities, telephone, railroads, shipyards, government arsenals, nuclear installations. . ., and we continue to grow.

When our numbers grow, our strength increases. When we unite, we have the power we need to see to it that the needs of working people are not ignored.

Join us.
